Hallmark holiday, schmallmark holiday.

As you know, our Valentine's Day was a bit of a cluster when all was said and done. We had very romantic plans to go to Costco on Monday night and relax with a pizza and a 6 pack of IPA after Alex went to bed (I know...the romance is still alive after alllll these years!), but that plan was thwarted by the arrival of my wittle mister Sam-e-oh.

And so, when I got home from my whirlwind adventures to CT, Joey presented me with my Valentine's Day gift. It was a small piece of paper that read the following:

Dear Honey Bunny,
First, forgive me for typing this note of love.  I would have liked to have written it by hand, but because I would also like you to be able to read it, typing became my only option.  So, on this Valentine’s Day circa Feb 14th 2011, I would like to share with you some silly and some heartfelt thoughts.
PS. if you read closely , you will discover a perfect valentines gift for my perfect wife.

©       On our wedding day, I Could Have Danced All Night,  Lovin, Touchin Squeezin  you ever so close to me
©       Baby, I will always have an Endless Love for you and I’ll Stand By You always, because by your side is the only place I want to be

Kristi, I love you more than these typed words (clues) can ever express.
Yours forever and always,
Joey

P.S.S. One last clue, in case you haven’t figured it out yet… you are my small town girl and I am your city boy.
I was able to figure out that they were all Glee songs, but couldn't get the rest of the way on my own. After a little more hinting, Joey revealed that we are going to see Glee on tour this summer!

*I fall over dead.*

Happiness, sparkles & confetti do not even come close to how awesome this gift is. PINK PUFFY HEARTS. I have the best husband. And not just because he knows that buying me tickets to see Glee on tour is the most brilliant idea, ever, but because he's been the rock of this family for the last month or so. I've needed to lean on him more than ever (Grandpa, Sam-e-oh, work, etc.) and not once has he complained about having to pick up my slack. Thank you, babe. You are extra medium. :)

Six.

This morning's spreesprise was placed on top of my makeup bag. Joe Van Resourceful got me new Studio Fix from MAC. It should be noted that his list this year consisted of...well, nothing. I didn't even give him one idea. Snaps for Joe! Oh, and my card is redeemable for a night of stress-relieving margaritas...aka, a designated driver.

And, it should also be noted that my parents pulled through and got me the Glee CD. IT IS SO AWESOMESAUCE I CAN'T EVEN STAND IT.

Tomorrow's the big day, kids. The big two eight. Eeeep!

Merry Gleemas!

I asked for the Glee Christmas CD for my birthday and (not to be greedy) I would like to put it out there to y'all that I really, really, really hope someone got it. If not, please just tell me right here and now so I can haul my caboose to Target and buy it ay-sap. I've already got my car keys in hand. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

I'm jamming to XM23 The Holly at my desk and nearly every other song is from that CD. I'm dy-ing. The fabulousness is stunningly beyond anything I could have ever imagined.

I love music. I love Christmas. I love Glee. I pink puffy heart with sparkles the combination of all three.

Pause For The Applause.

Yesterday morning, I got up for the third consecutive week at the ass crack of dawn to inflict hot, sweaty pain upon myself.

And I rocked it.

I ran suicide sprints for 20 minutes before most of you were even upright. I did the "300" workout (read: 300 reps of exercises targeting major muscle groups) while most of you were still drooling on your pillowcases.

And it was awesome.

I'm really starting to notice a difference--not only in my body shape (well hello there, pants that I can take off without unzipping) but also in my endurance. I'm not claiming to be the next Jackie Warner (snarf) but I AM becoming a better, stronger version of me. And quite frankly, I'm loving it.

Speeeeeeeeaking of Jackie Warner, does anyone else watch (and subsequently LOVE) her new show on Bravo called 'Thintervention?' It's so, so, so funny. Nikki is a high-LAR-ious drunkard and lovingly more quotable than a Will Ferrell movie.

In related TV news--'Glee' starts tonight! Ready, set DVR!

TRAGIC.

NOTE: PORTIONS OF THIS POST WILL BE WRITTEN IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE I AM SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS AND THROWING A MAY-JAH TANTRUM.

'GLEE' IS HOLDING OPEN AUDITIONS FOR SMALL ROLES TO BE FILLED THIS SEASON.

THE AGE RANGE IS 16-26.

I AM EFFING TWENTY EFFING SEVEN.

EFF. EFF. EFF.

Does it help that I LOOK twenty six? Honestly, I could probably even pull off 16.

And for those that don't know me IRL, I really can sing. Truly. I auditioned for American Idol's fourth season and the judge told me to take my voice to Broadway and win a Tony. Not bragging, just the honest to goodness truth. I just never had the balls to pack my shizz up and move to NYC. Scary!

But 'Glee'...oooohhhhh, to be on 'Glee'. What a DREAM!

To bad I'm too stinkin' old to do it.

Oh, SNAP!

Post #3 today, but I promise it's worth the read...

XM23 Holly (the station that is played continuously at my desk from Nov. 1-Jan. 5 each and every year) just played "Last Christmas" as performed by the CAST OF GLEE.

Is Christmas music on this week's ep? Will it be on the 'Glee: The Music, Volume 2' CD that I ordered from Amazon.com yesterday? Can I download it (and others?!?!) on iTunes the absolute second I walk in the door tonight? Can the whole damn cast just come Christmas caroling at my house this weekend?

So many questions, so few answers! 'Glee' and Christmas music together at last. I can die a happy woman. Le sigh.
