Friday Fun.

Life required a triple shot in the latte this a.m., which still didn't do the trick. Exhaustion. Snooze.

In other news, I saw an anomaly in a parking lot yesterday and thought I would share my 'fusion on Facebook. My status rattled on something like "I don't understand why anyone would by a Mercedes station wagon. Kinda defeats the purpose, no?" And boy oy boy, I felt the HEAT!

It would appear that most people think crossovers and station wagons are the same thing. Which is WRONG. Exhibit A:

Crossover.

Wagon.

One is clearly cooler than the other, right? Whatever. My original point on the Book of Face was simply that if someone is forking out the cashola for a Benz, why not at least get something sweet like this:

Because that would haul the family to Disney, right?

FRIDAY!

I am so excited that today is Friday for the manymany reasons I shall list henceforth: (I love that word.)

1. A group of girlie friends are coming over tonight for fondue and cosmos. NO BOYS ALLOWED! Joey and Alex will be banished to the upstairs and only allowed to show their countenances when they deliver us cocktails. I even have a bell to ring when our glasses are empty. Muah ha ha...

2. Tomorrow, my blonde counterpart is flying in from the Windy City to visit and deliver my newest 1154 Lill creation. Scads of shopping, wine consumption and tickling of Alex will be on the menu for the day. Yes, she loves me enough to fly here for the day.

3. Today begins le countdown - 2 weeks until we're on a plane to visit Kelli and David! Does anyone have a magical time machine that will make the next two weeks breeze by? I can pay you in Starbuckies.

Speaking of Starbuckies, my morning java got cold and I'm still drinking it. Here's my conundrum for the day: I love iced coffee, but I hate hot coffee when it gets cold. That's weird.

Friday = No Fun.

You know how sometimes Fridays are very fun and relaxing? Starbucks in the morning...jeans day at work...a great day to just catch up on everything and get a head start on the week to come?

Today was not one of those days. In fact, it was quite the opposite.

Friday fail.

Friday Fun.

Literally chasing my own tail this morning, which would be great if I was in a Jake-ish Halloween costume, but I'm not. I'm in my "working mommy" costume, which consists of a great deal of stress and anxiety on this particular Friday. I could tell you why, but you'd be bored with the details.

As such, today's post is short and sweet.

• SAVINGS: Text 242424 with "Oprahshow" as the subject and get a text code back for 50% off all day today ONLY at Payless. I'm planning to get these and probably these, too. And if I could come up with an event (real or otherwise) to wear these to, you bet your sweet ascot I'd be buying them.
• SWEETS: Happy almost Halloween! The kids @ Alex's daycare are taking a group pic in their costumes today. I can't wait to see it. Also, click here for some waist-saving tips on candy consumption. Really, who am I kidding? I'm going to King Size it this weekend.
• SHENANIGANS: I'm wearing orange Crocs today. Festive? Yes. Ridiculous? Also yes.
