Why anyone would choose to do this more than once in a lifetime, I will never know.

I promise that I was genuinely planning on blogging daily updates of the move. But then we were actually in the process of moving and I realized how much it totally sucks and didn't even have the energy to brush my hair let alone type words and string them into coherent and entertaining sentences.

But here we are, almost a week later. My quads and calves are embarrassingly sore. This two-story house thing is going to be GREAT for the figure, though. My Dad says were about 1 month ahead of "normal" people in terms of how "moved in" we are, but I can only attribute that success to the help of my Mom, Dad, Kyle, Jill, Sarah, Susan and John. It's true what they say about many hands making light work!

Anyway, it was the end of one era...

And the beginning of another...

And if you thought I was kidding about wearing a tiara and wielding a wand...(thanks, Mom!)

We have a few more things to put together (IKEA challenge post coming soon...) and some final touches to make on certain rooms so I will do a home tour later. In the meantime, here's a sneak peek at one of my favorite arrangements in the house:

Ikea... oh yes. There was MUCH cursing of Ikea in the process of putting together the family room/play room.

Where did you get the flag-ish garland-y thing on the mantle?
