When I tucked him in last night, he asked if he could give his sister a kiss and offered my belly a sweet little smooch. And then he poked his finger into my belly button and said, "Coochie, coochie, coo! I'm tickling you, baby!"
And then when he woke up, the first thing he did was run into our room and ask me how the baby slept.
My heart might explode soon.

Alex-isms.
While snuggling in bed with me on Saturday morning, stroking my face with his little hand.
"It's ok sweetheart. You just rest here for 30 minutes and your headache will go away."
Note: I did not have, nor did I tell him I had, a headache.
While being buckled into his carseat by my Dad.
"Oh, Poppi. I like your hair. It's grey."
To Joe in the master bath while I was sleeping on Sunday morning.
"Dad! I gotta go check on Mom to make sure she's not dead."
While building his latest Lego creation.
"This is a limited edition 530 space airplane." Points to bottom where he built a hole. "This is where the fire comes out."
While eating dinner with my parents.
"Hey, Joette?" Realizing he now has Grammi's undivided attention. "I love you stronger than the wind and softer than a cloud." ...and then we all melted.

Dear Daddy.
I LOVE your iPad. Mommy was so cool to get it for you for Christmas. Thank you for downloading that cool aquarium app. I love to play with it and squeal "fissies!" as they swim past me.
Also, thank you for teaching me fun things about fissies, because I love them just like you do. I can't wait to go fissing with you someday when I am a big boy.
Basically, I think you are the funnest, coolest Daddy, ever. I love you.

Yo, Yo, Yo!
Hey, peeps. It's me, Alex.
Sorry you haven't heard from me in awhile, but I've been a very busy baby.
Anyway, I basically love my life. When my Mom and Dad go to work, I get to hang out with my favorite 'Auntie' Jane and my friends Connor, Beth, Aly, Jack and Gracie. Connor is basically my best bud, and I can't wait until I am older so he can teach me really cool things like teasing the girls and eating bugs. He kisses me and hugs me every morning when I get to Daycare and I smile at him with my 2-tooth smile. Oh, and don't tell ANYONE (especially my Mom) but I have a little crush on Aly. She is really nice to me and looks just like that Dora girl I see on TV from time to time.
On the homefront, things are going very well. I'm digging the stage 2 foods and just started eating these weird things called "puffs." It looks different from the sushi and ice cream that Mommy and Daddy eat, but Mom always tells me its the same. I think she's tricking me, but whatever.
This thing you people call "Christmas" is probably the coolest, ever. I got to sit on this old, fat guy's lap (he totally copied my outfit, BTW) and ask him for all sorts of things. And what's crazy is that I GOT it all! Everybody spoiled me so, so much and now I have loads of new toys to play with. Strangely, the empty boxes were somewhat more appealing for a hot minute, but I've since changed my ways and gone back to the toys.
I'm seconds from crawling. Mommy says I do this thing she calls "rocking." I'm also very, very chatty and love to make sure that everyone is paying attention to me at all times. I do this by maintaining a high level of cuteness at all times. It's a tough gig, but somebody's got to do it.
Well, it's about time for my mid-afternoon poo. It's been real. It's been fun. It's been real fun.
Until we meet again, my peeps.

What Up?
Hello, blogosphere. It's me, Alex. Mom's putting another load of my barfy bibs into the washing machine, so I scooted my Bumbo over to the 'puter to get my blog on.
A lot has happened in my little noggin' since you last heard from me. I'm basically rockin' out the number twos like it's my job, and I like to let everyone within a 3 mile radius know when I'm doing my business. Mom always laughs at me when my face gets real red and I start grunting away. Not so amusing, she also captured it on video and threatened to show it to my senior prom date. So. Embarrassing.
I adore this thing Mom and Dad call "bath time." They put me in this giant thing of water and I just get to splash around and squeal like a little piggy. My favorite part is when Mom washes my hair...gives me the goosebumps just thinkin' about it!
My morning time with Dad is always fun. He always laughs at me when he unwraps my SwaddleMe because I stretch to what seems like 6 ft. tall. I don't know why I'm so amusing to him...if he had to be wrapped up like a burrito when he slept, he would really like it when he was finally free, too. Anyway, then he changes me and sings to me and feeds me until Mommy wakes up. She loves to sleep more than me, I think.
While Daddy is gone, Mommy sings to me and reads to me and plays pattycake. Yesterday we made cookies...why can't I have one of those instead of those crappy bottles I always get? Boo. I love it when Mommy rocks me to sleep for my afternoon nap...and then I trick her into thinking I'm really asleep. Then *right* at the moment she puts me in my crib I snap my eyes open and want to play again. Basically, I'm awesome.
Ok, looks like my time here is up. Time to go meet up with my bouncy chair...me and the yellow star that blows bubbles have some unfinished business.
Peace out,
AJVW

What Up?
Hey, peeps. Alex here. Mom's taking a nap so I thought I would confiscate Dad's computer (Stewie-style) and rock out a blog post. Mom's been hogging it for 9 months so I jumped at the chance to update you on life on the outside from my POV.
It's pretty cool here. I mean, there's a constant supply of hugs and kisses - people are ALWAYS holding and lovin' on me. I pretend to sleep a lot so they will continue to flatter me with compliments. Mommy says I get that from Daddy.
I've decided to forgive Mom and Dad for "sharpening my pencil" (as Grandpa Greg says). My junk is almost back to normal, which is nice...and Dad keeps telling me that some day, the chicks will dig it. Not sure what that means, but Dad hasn't lied to me yet. Oh, and that crusty thing on my belly is gross, but Mom is hopeful it will fall off soon.
I really wish Mom would stop shoving her boobs in my face, as I'm really not a fan. I've got the screaming and shaking thing down to a science, so she usually just gives in and bottles up the goods for me. I much prefer that.
I got my first bath tonight. Mommy wants to post those pictures tomorrow, so I will spare you the details. Let's just say that I'm probably not going to be a happy camper at my Baptism.
Well, it's about time for me to drop another load and zonk out for a few hours. Wanna know a secret? When I got out of the tub tonight, Dad cuddled me naked on the towel for a while and I TOTALLY deuced on him! It was the COOLEST, ever! Virtual high five!
I will leave you with this picture to show off how totally rockin' I am. Aunt Kelli got me these and I think I'm pretty pimpin'. Maybe this is what Daddy meant when he was telling me about the ladies lovin' me someday...
